The UK Research and Innovation Agency has suspended grant payments for projects involving scientists in RUSSIA, reports The Financial Times.
“As we await further advice from the [British] government, we are suspending all grant payments to potential Russian partners,” UKRI said.
The publication clarified that the British authorities have temporarily suspended payments on 50 grants worth several tens of millions of pounds. This decision was made by UKRI after consultations with the government on the impact of anti-Russian sanctions on research projects.
According to the publication, this week the UK Department of Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) will publish a guide for British universities working with scientists in Russia.
The government allowed the cancellation of publications of scientists in foreign publications Society
