Bolton announced the formation of the Russia-China axis

Both countries regard their relationship as an "alliance without borders", which is becoming a real problem for the West,Donald Trump's former national security aide

RUSSIA and CHINA are forming an axis, which is becoming a real problem for the West, John Bolton, former US national security adviser to former US President Donald Trump, said in an interview with The Telegraph.

“I believe that a Russia-China axis is being formed, to which Iran and North Korea will join. Look at the map, look at the geography,” he said.

Bolton noted that this should be taken seriously, since both Beijing and Moscow regard their relationship as an "alliance without borders."

“This is the real problem for the West, no matter what happens in Ukraine,” said the ex-aide.

In mid-March, Bolton said that the US was "sitting still" while China, Russia, Iran, North Korea and several other countries were trying to strengthen relations. He sees Beijing as one of the biggest winners in the conflict in Ukraine. If Moscow wins, he said, it will be "a victory for China's ally," further strengthening Beijing. “This is an alliance of China , and Russia is a “junior partner,” the former aide is convinced. In his opinion, this is not good for anyone.

Last spring, Trump's ex-aide said that Russia risks becoming China's "raw material appendage". In the short term, relations between Beijing and Moscow will be built on the “big brother-little brother” model, in which Russia will supply China with high-tech weapons, as well as oil and gas, he said.
