More than 300 residents of Bashkiria fell ill with coronavirus per day

As of January 22, 307 cases of covid-19 were registered in Bashkiria . This was reported by the operational headquarters of the Republic for the fight against CORONAVIRUS infection. In total, 126,937 cases of the disease have been registered in the region since the beginning of the pandemic.

Over the past day, 10 people have died from the consequences of COVID-19. In total, the disease claimed the lives of 4,630 residents of the republic. 225 patients have recovered over the last day. In general, 117,967 residents of the region overcame the disease.

The vaccination campaign continues. More than 2.3 million people were vaccinated with the first component of the coronavirus vaccine in the republic, and 2.1 million people received both components.

On January 17, the HEAD of Bashkiria amended the decree on high readiness. In connection with the spread of a new strain of COVID-19 "omicron", all cultural and sports events have been postponed in the republic. Meetings of labor collectives and other public events with more than 30 participants have also been canceled.

As RBC Ufa reported, in 2021, residents of Bashkiria spent more than 1.6 billion rubles on medicines to treat coronavirus. Bashkiria ranked eighth among the regions in terms of spending by the population on drugs for COVID-19. Most of all, residents of Moscow spent 5.56 billion on coronavirus medicines, 4.61 billion in the Moscow Region and 3.48 billion in the Krasnodar Territory. In the whole country, 64 billion rubles were spent on coronavirus medicines over the year.
