Western companies that stop or suspend work in St. Petersburg will be replaced by investors from Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, India and Arab countries, the city is already receiving offers from them. This was stated by the governor of St. Petersburg Alexander Beglov on the air of the 78 TV channel.

He called Western sanctions "a form of blockade." According to Beglov, many companies that leave under pressure from their governments will later want to return to the Russian market, but the niches will already be filled.

“There are already proposals, the market is the market, and there are a lot of proposals. We are considering them in working order, but so far there are no final decisions, we, of course, just keep it in our plans, ”he said.

Companies leaving St. Petersburg must fulfill their obligations to their employees, this is planned to be monitored, the governor of the city noted.
