US President Joe Biden intends to convene a new CORONAVIRUS summit in early 2022, National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan said in an interview with CNN.

“This is what the WHO and epidemiologists say is necessary for the final victory over the pandemic. The US has offered more than 1 billion doses of the vaccine, and we have already donated more than 225 million of them, more than the rest of the world. So President Biden called the world together to present the plan. To follow up on these goals, Secretary of State [US Anthony Blinken] will hold a follow-up event in November, and Biden will convene the world again early next year,” he said (quoted by TASS).

He also stressed that it was the President of the United States who, at the September virtual coronavirus summit, took the initiative to vaccinate 70% of the world's population by September next year.

The last international summit on the fight against the pandemic, as well as on global vaccination under the auspices of the United States, was held on September 22 in a video format. Then Biden addressed the heads of governments, states, international organizations and leaders of charitable, non-governmental and business organizations with a call to coordinate efforts to end the covid-19 pandemic .
