Biden tests positive for coronavirus again

US President Joe Biden passed another test for CORONAVIRUS on Saturday, he gave a positive result, his attending physician Kevin O'Connor said. The statement was published on the White House website.

On July 21, it became known that the American leader had contracted the coronavirus, but since then the results of his tests four times - on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday - have been negative, O'Connor said.

Re-testing positive after recovery is rare in patients treated with Pfizer's Paxlovid (nirmatrelvir), which Biden received, he said. The president did not have symptoms of covid -19 , he feels good, so there is no reason to resume treatment, but Biden will be under close medical supervision and will return to self-isolation.
