AvtoVAZ in the period from March 21 to March 25 will change the work schedule at enterprises in Izhevsk and Tolyatti due to a shortage of electronic components, RBC was told in the company's press service.

Line B0 will operate on March 21 and 22. The days from March 23 to March 25 will be declared idle days with a payment of 2/3 of the average earnings. The LADA Izhevsk plant will produce LADA Vesta on March 21 and 22. The days from March 23 to March 25 will be declared idle days with a payment of 2/3 of the average earnings. The Granta and NIVA lines of the plant in Tolyatti will be in idle mode from March 21 to March 25 with the payment of 2/3 of the average salary. Some components production units in Tolyatti will work throughout the week to support the production of vehicles and the supply of spare parts for LADA Image for service and after-sales service.

As noted in AvtoVAZ, the full-time regime is maintained for the services responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the enterprise's infrastructure, as well as for the engineering departments involved in work on new projects and their preparation for production. "The schedule of work in the coming days will be announced additionally," the press service added.

At the beginning of March, AvtoVAZ already suspended the assembly of cars in Izhevsk and Togliatti, the days of downtime were announced on March 5, 9, 10 and 11. Later, the company reported that AvtoVAZ employees would go on a planned corporate vacation from April 4 to April 24. These changes were then also linked to the "ongoing crisis in the supply of electronic components."
