
Saudi Arabian airline Flyadeal has operated an all-female flight for the first time in the kingdom's history, the carrier announced on Twitter.
“For the first time in the history of Saudi Arabian aviation, Flyadeal operated the first flight with an all-female crew, the majority of whom are Saudi citizens,” the statement said. The airline published a photo of the crew, which depicts seven women.
Flight 117 was operated by an Airbus A320 from Riyadh to Jeddah.
According to Arabnews, Flight 117 was piloted by 23-year-old Yara Yan, who is the youngest female pilot in Saudi Arabia. Yang graduated from flying school in usa (Florida) in 2019 and joined Flyadeal a year ago.
