Restrictions imposed on unvaccinated tourists in the Krasnodar Territory since August 1 have led to a significant drop in hotel bookings in the region. This was reported by the Association of Tour Operators of RUSSIA (ATOR).
“The calculations of the authorities of the Krasnodar Territory that tourists would come to the resorts of the region, having been specially vaccinated for this (or, according to the latest version, in order to spend the first days of their vacation on vaccination in Sochi or Anapa), did not materialize,” the report says.
As ATOR notes, some premium hotels were able to basically keep old bookings, but the middle and budget segment, in which the depth of sales is significantly less, has seriously sank.
The association reported that cancellations of tours for August from tour operators have become sustainable, and the number of bookings, which are usually made in July, has dipped significantly. Many tourists preferred to cancel the reservation without fines, or book accommodation in the private sector of resorts in the Krasnodar Territory, where vaccination certificates are not checked, or change the holiday region, for example, to the Crimea, where no restrictions were imposed, ATOR notes.
In the Krasnodar Territory, eviction from hotels was ruled out for refusing to vaccinate Politics
