Astrakhan Governor instructed to organize the vaccination of officials

The governor of the Astrakhan region, Igor Babushkin, instructed to organize the vaccination of employees of state authorities in the region in the next two weeks. This was reported in the press service of the HEAD of the region.

“Given the current situation, it is necessary that all employees of the regional government, the governor’s administration and subordinate institutions are vaccinated in the next two weeks,” Babushkin said. According to him, there have already been cases in the region when the emergence of a focus of the incidence of covid-19 stopped the work of the authorities almost completely. “For example, the housing inspection did not work for two weeks, and as a result, people suffered,” the governor said.

Babushkin instructed to prepare a list of enterprises that will have to ensure vaccination of at least 60% of their personnel in the near future. “And once again I want to remind employers of the advisability of giving employees a day off on the day of vaccination,” the governor added.

According to the RBC study, in the Astrakhan region, about 15–20% of the inhabitants of the region received one dose of the vaccine, and 10–15% of people were fully vaccinated.

Earlier, Babushkin quarantined the village of Zenzeli in the Limansky district due to the threat of the spread of CORONAVIRUS. From June 25, it is impossible to leave the village and enter it from other settlements of the Astrakhan region. Departure is possible only after a 14-day quarantine and a negative test result for COVID-19, provided that the person has been in isolation for ten days. Residents of Zenzeli need to self-isolate, but they can leave their homes for medical care, go to the grocery store, throw out the trash, walk their pets, walk to and from work. Only one customer can be in stores and pharmacies.
