So, the queue of the guests of the holiday grew a few hours before its official start at the checkpoint on Nevsky Prospekt. Traffic along the avenue was blocked, the authorities put up fences to check tickets. At the next checkpoint, the temperature and the presence of masks were checked for graduates and their companions.
Even before the start of the holiday, it was decided to halve the number of people invited to Palace Square. This year, only graduates from St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region, as well as teachers accompanying them, are present at the celebration.
According to Fontanka, the area is two-thirds full. Young people will perform on the stage of the event: Svetlana Loboda, Cream Soda, Irina Dubtsova, Jony, Niletto, Alina Astrovskaya, Anton Lavrentiev and Vanya Dmitrienko.
The main themes of the holiday are the 30th anniversary of the return of the tricolor Russian flag, the anniversary of the birth of St. Prince Alexander Nevsky and the 60th anniversary of the first manned flight into space. At the end of the holiday, the Mir brig will sail in the Neva waters, its sail will be painted in the colors of the Russian tricolor this year.
