
Air CANADA, Canada's largest airline, has suspended more than 800 employees who refused to be vaccinated against covid-19 . TNC reports this with reference to a statement by company DIRECTOR Michael Russo.
“Our employees have done their part and over 96% are now fully vaccinated. Employees who have not been vaccinated or do not have medical or other authorized benefits have been placed on unpaid leave,” he said.
Most of Air Canada's 27,000 employees have already received both CORONAVIRUS shots, he said, but about 800 people still haven't been vaccinated.

Earlier, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced that Ottawa would require federally regulated airlines, railroads and shipping companies to implement a policy of mandatory employee vaccinations effective October 30.
