Aeroflot stopped selling tickets to Turkey for June so as not to inconvenience passengers due to possible flight cancellations.

Earlier, a RBC source in the tourism market reported a TELEGRAM received by the airline's agents. “In connection with the decision of the headquarters under the government of the Russian Federation to suspend regular air traffic with Turkey from June 2 to June 30: standard rules for forced exchange / return apply for tickets for canceled flights,” it said.

The operational headquarters denied the information about the decision to extend the restrictions on flights to Turkey for a month, since the deadline for those already adopted expires on June 1.

“Travel planning is always planning weeks, sometimes months ahead. We stopped sales and canceled all flights to Turkey for June, with the exception of two flights a week permitted by the headquarters, so as not to inconvenience passengers due to possible cancellations, ”Aeroflot representative Mikhail Demin told RBC.

“As soon as there are other solutions, we are ready to revise the schedule, increase the number of flights if necessary and open sales. We, like other carriers, are waiting for the decision of the government headquarters,” he explained.
