172 fell ill, two died. Statistics on COVID-19 in the region

In the Kaliningrad region over the past day, 172 cases of CORONAVIRUS infection have been detected, 140 people have recovered, two have died. This is reported by the regional operational headquarters.

In 107 out of 172 new patients, the infection occurs in the form of SARS, in 20 - in the form of pneumonia, and another 45 people are asymptomatic.

Among the sick children: seven preschoolers under six years old who do not attend kindergarten, five kindergarten students, seven schoolchildren.

Among adult patients: 33 pensioners, 29 entrepreneurs, 39 non-working citizens, three HEALTH workers, three specialists from educational institutions. Also, the infection was confirmed in ten employees of trade and public catering enterprises, 13 employees of industrial enterprises, five employees of transport enterprises, ten employees of the food industry, three employees of banks, two employees of the housing and communal services sector. One infected person was identified in a cultural and leisure institution, a security company and an agricultural enterprise.

Since the start of the pandemic, 835,260 people have been tested for covid-19 in the region . Of these, 45,697 cases of infection were detected, 42,153 people recovered, 637 died, and 6,695 remain under medical supervision.
