The Perm Region Development Corporation has completed the acquisition of the shopping center Karusel (59 Kosmonavtov Highway). Ownership of the building and the land under it was registered on November 20. This is reported by Kommersant-Prikamye with reference to the press service of the organization.

Earlier, RBC Perm reported that the regional authorities would start developing a project for a modern expo center on this site, but for now, the Perm Fair will occupy the Karusel building. Now the exhibition association is located on 4.2 thousand square meters. m on the second floor of the building. In the future, the existing building of the center will be renovated.

Beginning of services in the gallery building

The Transfiguration Cathedral, which now houses the Perm Art Gallery, will begin services in March 2022. This was reported by Kommersant-Prikamye with reference to Andrei Litovka, secretary of the Perm diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church.

According to the representative of the Russian Orthodox Church, until the gallery moves, services will be held not in the main building of the cathedral, but in one of the adapted premises. The gallery move could be completed by June next year. The extension of the lease of the building by the gallery was not discussed with the regional authorities.

+1387 new cases of CORONAVIRUS

Over the weekend, 1387 new cases of covid-19 infection were registered in Prikamye . At the same time, the total number of infections in the region was 139,385. Over the weekend, 54 people died from coronavirus in the region.
