Mankind will only be able to return to the normal course of life if there is an affordable and super-effective vaccine against Coronavirus. This was announced by billionaire and founder of Microsoft Bill Gates on the air of NBC TV.

 

Gates was asked what humanity needs in order to fully recover from the COVID-19 pandemic. "The only way to get people back to normal is to get a super-efficient and affordable vaccine," Gates answered.

 

According to him, mass vaccination of citizens will stop the spread of coronavirus and eventually put an end to IT.

 

Bill Gates, along with his wife Melinda, heads a charitable foundation that sponsors the World Health Organization and has provided hundreds of millions of dollars to fight COVID-19 and develop the vaccine.

 

In April, Gates said it would take one or two years to get the world back to normal. In July, he expressed confidence that humanity would be able to defeat coronavirus, but noted that it would only be possible to do so if a cure for the disease became publicly available.

 

In September, the founder of Microsoft said that the pandemic with an optimistic version of development will end in 2022. He noted that the U.S. will be able to return to normal life earlier - in the summer of 2021 - through progress in the development of a vaccine against COVID-19. At the same time, he expressed regret that the country is not making efforts to distribute the drug in less affluent countries.

 

In August, Gates warned leaders of the country's coronavirus drug development against "chasing the vaccine. According to the billionaire, rivalries between states can lead to market entry of unsafe vaccines that have not passed all necessary tests.
